Sharjah Child Protection Network launched

 The network aims to coordinate all children?s protection related institutions in the emirate, build capacity of professionals and volunteers, exchange professional experience and enhance the performance of childhood institutions.

Speaking to reporters, Shaikha Mohammad Belhoul Al Muhairi, chairperson of the Board of Trustees, said: ?The launch of the Sharjah Childhood Protection Network is an important development that will further enable the emirate of Sharjah to place the care and protection of children as a top priority and matter of importance for future generations?.

Ebrahim Mohammad Al Hosani, vice-chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Childhood Protection Network, said: ?The network complements the roles of the national initiatives in raising community awareness on the importance of child protection and well-being and the ensuing responsibilities to protect children and raise children of benevolence, kindness, friendliness and peace.?

He stressed that the network will seek to carry out initiatives and development projects that help improve the performance of children?s institutions, in a bid to make the emirate of Sharjah one of the most important cities in children?s care at the global level.

Faris Mohammad Bu Afra, Member of the Board of Trustees, said: ?Children are the cornerstone of societies. Therefore, we must provide them with a safe environment and protect their rights as endorsed by heavenly religions and international laws.?
