New centre for male victims of human trafficking in Abu Dhabi

The UAE, he noted, was among the first countries in the world which called on the international community to shoulder its full responsibility towards protection of civilians, especially women and children, from these illegal practices, war crimes and crimes against humanity.
 
Underpinning the UAE’s moral and humanitarian commitment towards protection of human trafficking victims, Sheikh Hamdan said the UAE had joined the Bali Process on People Smuggling, Trafficking in Persons and Related Transnational Crime (Bali Process) in an effort to combat human trafficking and related crimes.
 
On the centre’s mission, he said, it will provide comprehensive humanitarian care and a safe, temporary shelter to the victims while staying in the UAE.
