MoI organizes a lecture on Promoting Anti-Human Trafficking Culture

This lecture comes within the framework of promoting MoI anti-human trafficking efforts and informing GCC Police staff of the preventive measures and procedures towards combatting this crime.

First, Al Zaabi introduced the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the Protocols thereto, UAE Law of 2006 and the 2015 amendments thereto. He then elaborated on the Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Supplementary Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, especially women and children. He also reviewed preliminary general indicators for detection of human-trafficking cases, including some practical cases among them, crime scene characteristics, conditions and regulations for interviewing victims, and financial investigations in cases, as well as the ways to deal with children-trafficking issues.
