Interior Ministry Personnel Receives Human Rights Training on ?Human Rights?

Colonel Mohammed Ali Al-Shehhi, Deputy Head of the Human Rights Department and Head of the Strategic Initiatives Supervisory Team, said that those who successfully complete the initiative are later qualified to take part in other specialized courses that promote the human rights culture, in coordination with the General Directorate of Strategy and Performance Development.

He added that the enrolled personnel were involved in a program of three stages: preliminary, intermediate, and advanced, each of which includes theoretical and practical lectures that focus on various fields of law and international conventions, international reports, and the role of national and international authorities in protecting human rights. The program additionally highlights the link between police work and human rights.
