Our 360° Model of Care at the Abu Dhabi Center for Shelter and Humanitarian Care – Ewaa, addresses the cycle of violence in our society. Our model brings together in the short term, direct care to people who have experienced violence, and in the long term, prevention, and advocacy.
We, at the Abu Dhabi Center for Shelter and Humanitarian Care – Ewaa, work to support and protect people who suffer from violence and abuse in all its forms.
Established as the Ewaa Shelter for Women and Children, the first specialized center in receiving victims of human trafficking.
Became a member of the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking.
Member of Child Protection Committee – Ministry of Interiors.
Launched hotline service to report human trafficking – 800 SAVE (7283).
Opened the male shelter, adding to the network of shelters for women and children.
Amendment of the Federal Law No. (51) of 2006 on Combating Human Trafficking Crimes. Ewaa played a key role in the dialogue leading to the amendment.
Established as the Abu Dhabi Center for Sheltering and Humanitarian Care – Ewaa, affiliated with the Department of Community Development.
