?EWA?A Shelters?: Eleven Human Trafficking Victims admitted into Training and Qualification Programs

   

n a statement to Ittihad newspaper, Shuhail said that EWA?A Shelters organized several educational, handicraft and occupational training programs and activities, such as tailoring and embroidery, cooking, hospitality, computer, and art lessons, which help victims develop self-confidence and new skills to be better able to find jobs and lead normal lives.

Shuhail stressed that since their inception, the shelters opened their doors to hundreds of victims of different nationalities, and provided them with shelter, consultancy; psychological and social requalification, and financial and legal aid, as well as protection.

According to Shuhail, EWA?A shelters are fully supported by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak; President of the General Women?s Union, Chief Executive Officer of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Higher Council for Motherhood and Childhood, since the Shelters were just an emerging idea.

In addition, she pointed out that, thanks to the financial and logistical support of the UAE?s wise leadership, the partnerships formed with several shareholders, and participation in local and international conferences and workshops, EWA?A shelters have taken daring steps towards achieving their goals.
