The Ewa?a Shelters for Women and Children victims of human trafficking were established within the framework of the UAE?s efforts to combat human trafficking and support human rights, and to provide safe refuge to victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, and provide them with health and psychological care as well as social support. Ewa?a offers psychological, medical, and legal assistance as well as support in rehabilitation, as it seeks to address the impact of human trafficking and to uphold the worldwide principle of human dignity.
Ewa?a receives generous support from H. H Shaikh a Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women?s Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), Chairwoman of Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and also the Honorary Chairwoman of the Red Crescent Authority (RCA) which oversees Ewa?a Centers.
Ewa?a is also supported by His Highness General Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
