They were representatives of all ministries, agencies and institutions in charge of childhood protection at both the federal and local levels across the UAE. One of the goals of the workshop was to propose an upgrade to measures taken by institutions as sole entities, and to measures relevant to inter-institutional relations. The workshop also aimed at exploring different ways of coordination, exchange of expertise and capacity building.

These discussions would contribute to creating a clear roadmap on how best to deal with the cases that require protection, thus developing more comprehensive and more effective protection services. Moreover, those discussions would help find a suitable mechanism for exchanging both expertise and information between all agencies involved.
